Election Day, November 7th, 2023, I wrote the following:
“What will Jesse Brown do in office? My guess is Mr. Brown will follow the example of other Democratic Socialists and become a loyal, establishment Democrat… a Hoosier AOC.”
I apologize. My guess was wrong. Instead of taking a few days off, Councilman-elect Jesse Brown immediately dialed up the cray-cray way past 11 on X-Twitter, shit-posting on subjects that have little or nothing to do with District 13 (my district) or the City of Indianapolis. I’m not going to post all of them. You can see them yourself. I will post a screenshot of one of Mr. Brown’s posts that best indicates what his plans are for the future:
Mr. Brown indicates he is fundraising and seeking volunteers. That suggests he has plans to run for higher office… less than two weeks after winning his first election! And how well would Mr. Brown do in a more high-profile, more competitive election? I’m not going to make another guess, but this screenshot of Jesse Brown’s dreary election night victory celebration may hold some clues. Given the lack of enthusiasm in this photo, I wonder whether there is any real support for Mr. Brown anywhere.
As of today, Jesse Brown’s victory speech on You Tube has a paltry 56 views.
I haven’t heard of any prominent Democrats who have endorsed Mr. Brown or congratulated him on his election. There is something very odd going on here and it’s very likely the bizarre Jesse Brown Saga will get even more bizarre… get out your popcorn!
