Councilman Jesse Brown’s Plan For Hoosier Domination.
Is the Avowed Marxist’s Plan Targeting Republicans Really a Trojan Horse to Unseat Democrats?
Barely two months since his swearing-in as the Councilman representing the 13th District (my district), Jesse Brown reveals an ambitious plan in a pinned X thread and an email to unseat Republicans at the Indiana Statehouse.
In the email, Councilman Brown excoriates Republicans at the Statehouse, of course, but fails to mention Senator Andrea Hunley, who takes a much less confrontational approach to working with the Republican super-majority in the Statehouse and deserves some credit for the compromise that saved the IndyGo BRT Blue Line.
Councilman Brown’s call-to-arms included all his usual radical cosplay flourishes, but this item raised my eyebrows:
On April 6th and 7th, my campaign is paying trainers from across the country to come and share the strategies, tactics, methods, and skills that help people-powered politicians win.
I very much doubt that Jesse Brown is going to successfully challenge the Indiana GOP in this very conservative, Red State. An army of pink-haired, masked-up, gender-pronouned, pierced & tattooed weirdos knocking on rural doors will likely result in greater, more entrenched GOP control of the Statehouse. If the GOP leadership is smart, they will make Jesse Brown, an avowed Marxist, Antifa, Church of Satan promoter the face of the Democrat Party.
But, I really doubt Republicans are the target. The ever ambitious Jesse Brown is likely planning to challenge a Democrat. The fact that Democrat Party office holders occupying the rungs of the Democrat Party ladder above Jesse Brown are people of color or women, will not deter him. Jesse Brown opposed and defeated Zach Adamson, the first openly gay man to hold a county-wide office in Indiana. Nobody accused Jesse Brown of being anti-gay.
I can see Jesse Brown challenging Senator Andrea Hunley in a primary. Jesse Brown has frequently accused moderate Democrats of being too eager to work with, instead of working against Republicans. The radical-chic, Eastside gentry that comprise Councilman Jesse Brown’s base would likely support his candidacy.
Would Jesse Brown shrink from removing a woman of color from office? A better question is would Jesse Brown be able to resist the temptation. Councilman Jesse Brown has shown a pattern of disrespect for minorities… watch this video of Jesse Brown yelling at a public meeting of the Indianapolis Public Library Board.
Keep up the good fight!
It wouldn't surprise me if tried to run against Robin Shackleford(black democrat) for State House or Andrea Hunley(black democrat) for State Senate. He already lied to the people when he said he wanted more women/POC in office but refused to drop out of the CC race against Libby Glass.
